The textile industry has a substantial impact on our environment. At Payen we believe that we can limit our footprint while remaining true to Pierre Payen’s wishes: to make the best product.

The best waste is waste that is not generated, which is why, thanks to our weaving know-how and our expertise with regard to yarn, we are able to make products of unparalleled durability.

We are the only European weaving company to be fully integrated from yarn to finishing. By limiting transportation between these different stages to the maximum extent and supplying close to 90% of our production from Europe, we have succeeded in the challenge of generating the smallest possible carbon footprint linked to transportation.

To this can be added exceptional durability, which increases the life span of products thus limiting environmental impact. We also work with eco-responsible raw materials such as wool, and recycled or biodegradable fibres.
